2.3.16 – Secondary School Librarian
Think International School, Hong Kong
Sarah P’s comments: A chance to develop a library in a new school. I found one review which was positive however I suspect it is too early to tell. They are stressing IGCSE and IB DP experience however I think if you have one or the other it would work. If you are non British-trained then you should be able to present a MLIS and teacher certification in lieu of the PGDE.
FYI: this advert was posted on TES which has changed its front page. To search for librarian positions the steps are now:
- Go to: https://www.tes.com/jobs
- Click on ‘Non-teaching & Support Jobs’

International jobs will usually be listed first however there is a Location section on the left where you can click on ‘international’.
