Job: Curator, National Art Library

8/6/15 –  Curator, National Art Library
The National Art Library at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, UK

Sarah P’s comments: A dream job…applicants must have the right to work in the UK.  Note that on their page the ending date was 7/9/15 yet they just posted this position on IFLAjobs which I assume means they did not find a suitable candidate in the first round of submissions.

The National Art Library at the Victoria and Albert Museum is Britain’s
foremost public research and reference library on art and design, historical
and contemporary. It shares the mission of the V&A, the world’s leading
museum of art and design, to increase knowledge, understanding and enjoyment
of the designed world. The NAL is also the V&A’s curatorial department for
the art and design of the book and publishing.

We are seeking a curator for the NAL’s special collections, which include
manuscripts, rare books and works that exemplify the art and design of the
book. You will lead on the management, documentation, research and promotion
of these collections. This is a rare opportunity for an individual with solid
professional experience in library / rare book collections or archives,
proven academic attainments, and the ability to organise, lead and inspire.

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
