Description:

NJIS is an independent, not-for-profit, co-educational day school for students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. The expatriate teaching staff have traditionally come from the United States, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Canada, China, and Indonesia. The school is located in Kelapa Gading, a self-contained residential susburb about three miles from the Java Sea, and within twenty minutes of the city center(when traffic allows!) NJIS was founded in 1990 and is accredited by WASC. We offer a U.S.-based, international school program for students in Pre-K through Grade 12. Our emphasis is on a strong academic program enhanced with specialist instruction in music, art, information technology, foreign languages, and physical education. High priority given to those with AP and/or IB certification for the Core Subjects.

Age Limit: 60  (age limit set by Indonesian government)
Preference given to singles and teaching couples

Qualifications:
Five years teaching experience a MUST
University certified to teach
Endorsements in area of instruction

Salary:  $33 – $39K USD tax free
(Teachers can typically save half of their salary while still living comfortably and traveling in the region. All Indonesian taxes are paid by the school. Your salary is paid in US dollars at a local bank.)
