Under the overall supervision of the Officer-in-Charge of the David Lubin Memorial Library (DLML), the direct supervision of the Knowledge and Information Management Officer, OCCP and in close coordination with other branches in OCC and other units at FAO headquarters, the Library Systems Analyst will carry out activities that aim to improve the library’s IT solutions to make DLML information resources accessible to FAO’s target audiences. Specifically, the incumbent will:
*Assist in the implementation of the Integrated Library System (KOHA). Includes: liaison work with library staff for server administration and deployment and support for associated software; introducing new approaches in designing and running reports; develop and implement circulation module; develop new policies and documentation for training;
*Develop and lead new innovative information services;
*Lead implementation of OPAC interface and FAO Library website;
*Investigate, evaluate, recommend, and propose a project management for barcoding the library collection;
*Develop new gateways between the Library’s online resources and locally developed or third party application;
*Create new applications and adapt existing systems to meet Library needs. Advise and consult with library staff to maximize effective use of technology;
*Assists with the library’s social media;
*Provide reference services in a daily basis; and
*Perform any other duties identified in relation to the above.

*Advanced university degree in Library or Information Science, Computer Science or equivalent;
*3-5 years of relevant experience in library, preferably in managing Integrated Library Systems, platforms and computer operations;
*Fluent in English and working knowledge of French, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic or Russian;
*Work experience in library user services and working knowledge of reference tools;
*Relevant experience in providing system support. Preferred experience with KOHA but other ILS experience is also acceptable.

Candidates will be assessed against the following:
*Experience with broad range of IT skills (operating systems, web servers, networks, HTML, XML and related formats);
*Relevant experience in providing system support;
*Excellent customer service and demonstrated service commitment to library users.
